An alien bursts out of a character's chest, no blood seen. A character is trapped inside a net and slowly killed, blood drips down some weapons afterwards. Characters are stabbed with Alien tails and Predator weapons, some quick shots of gore. There is much more blood and more gore in the Unrated Version, however, the main theatrical version (the version I'm reviewing) is light on the blood and guts. Violence: 4/5 This movie is about two alien species fighting, so action violence galore in this movie, even if the carnage is toned down considerably from the other movies inside of the two R-rated franchises. NOTE: THIS REVIEW IS OF THE PG-13 THEATRICAL VERSION, NOT THE 2005 UNRATED VERSION. This movie works best when it's delivering on its title, the whole thing looks quite nice with great effects for the Aliens and Predator, and even expands the two franchises's mythology in some pretty nice ways as well. The movie is filled to the brim with flaws, with forgettable characters, toned-down PG-13 carnage, and pretty bad dialogue, however, movies like these don't need substance in my opinion. Personally, I love both franchises and the Aliens And Predator, and seeing them clash is just an entertaining guilty pleasure for me personally. This is the only Alien and Predator movie to be given a PG-13 rating in the US, which means it is one of the most tame movies of both franchises.

I honestly don't know if Common Sense Media watched the Unrated Cut of this movie or something, but 17+ is absurd. Thus, continues the battle of Alien Vs Predator, a war that has been raging for centuries. However, the explorers are entirely unaware that there are Alien eggs hidden deep within the pyramid, ready to hatch, and The Predator are arriving from above to perform a coming-of-age ritual. Alien Vs Predator, also called AVP: Alien Vs Predator, is a 2004 action horror film in which a group of scientists, researchers and adventurers assembled by Weyland Industries are sent to investigate a mysterious heat signal coming from an ancient pyramid buried underneath Antarctica.
